Number of Victims in the State of New York

A research team at Hofstra University reported in a study that it had identified 11,268 human trafficking victims in the State of New York between 2000 and 2011. In 2010 alone, the researchers found 1,606 people that it identified as victims of human trafficking.

A 2007-2008 study by the governmental New York State Interagency Task Force on Human Trafficking found 36 confirmed victims of human trafficking within the state.
