In the U.S. state of Florida, a crackdown on pharmacies that distribute Oxycodone has caused the black market price of a pill to increase to $15 in 2011, up from $8 in 2010.
In the first 8 months of 2011, over 400 clinics that sold Oxycodone have either been shut down or closed.
32.2 million doses of Oxycodone was sold in the first six months of 2010. In the same time period in 2011, the number of doses sold dropped 97 percent.
