17.4 million people in the United States regularly used marijuana in 2010, or 6.9 percent of the country’s population. The amount of people who regularly used marijuana was up in 2010 from the 5.8 percent of population users in 2007.
Number of methamphetamine users in the U.S. dropped to 353,000 people in 2010, down from 731,000 in 2006.
2.7 percent of the population used prescription drugs for non-medical purposes in 2010.
