Human Trafficking Victims Worldwide in 2011

As of 2011, the United States Department of State was reporting that there was an estimated 27 million men, women and children around the world who were victims of human trafficking.

Back in 2006, the State Department reported in its Trafficking in Person Report that between 600,000 to 800,000 people were being trafficked worldwide. In 2010, theĀ DepartmentĀ identified 33,113 people who were officially identified as victims of human trafficking.
