Displacement due to drug violence in Mexico

According to the Norwegian Refugee Council, up to 230,000 people in Mexico had fled their homes due to drug trafficking violence between 2006 and 2012.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees officially reports that  1,395 people are internally displaced and label as refugees.
