Cigarette Tax Losses in the UK

The United Kingdom losses up to $3.1 Billion (2 Billion British Pounds) a year in unpaid taxes due to the illicit trade in cigarettes.

One out of every seven packs of cigarettes in the United Kingdom are believed to be either counterfeit cigarettes or have been smuggled into the country and sold without taxes being paid..
