Illegal Gambling in China

An estimated $93 Billion (600 Billion Yuan) is illegally gambled in China each year, according to the China Center for Lottery Studies at Peking University.

Gambling is illegal in China, and illegal gamblers connect to oversea betting books over the Internet.

If gambling were to be legalized n China, an estimated 5.6 million jobs would be created.

In 2009, around 600,000 people were arrested for gambling crimes in China.
