Arrests in India For Manufacturing Fake Drugs in 2009

In 2006, the Government of India arrested 12 people for selling and manufacturing counterfeit drugs in the country.

In 2009, 147 people were arrested for selling and manufacturing counterfeit drugs.

An estimated 12 to 25 percent of all drugs sold within India are thought to be counterfeited.
